Tour De Yorkshire 2017

On the weekend of the 29th and 30th of April 2017 Oxspring was transformed from a quiet village to a busy place because of the Tour De Yorkshire.

The village had been decorated with bunting, old painted bicycles and banners ready for the big day.

St Aidan’s was open for refreshments provided by the Oxspring Friends group supported by a band playing on the grassed area in front of the hall.

The Waggon and Horses public house organised a Hog roast and the residents turned out in full ready to party.

This Video shows some of the activities which were happening in and around the village with photos of the cyclist passing through on route to Thugoland.
